The Purpose and Vision of the project is to create an immersive audiovisual experience that evolves with the music. By connecting tocuhdesigner to resolume, enhancing audiovisuality is the goal. Resulting in both the visual and environmental engagement.
The raw form of the animations are a part of the pack called "OrnaMental II" which is created by STVinmotion
Audio Analysis: The audioanalysis is done via the average volume trail of the music which is created from its spectrum. Later, since touchdesigner is going to be used for controlling 2 effects in resolume, presets for each effects are put in the switch seperately.
By focusing on two main elements in the audioanalysis (Rms power and Sum), the volume of the overall music became the trigger of the switchs
Setting up two OSC Ports at the end of the line allows us to send information back to resolume very easily. After here, one thing left in touchdesigner is to re-arrange the preset orders in order to yield the max harmony between the mood of the music and the mood of the visual
The incoming information from OSC Ports have been used to manipulate composition hue and level values, regarding the coloring. In Addition, by using the level and bloom with different envelope settings let us define a flashy effect each layer. Doing so, an almost perfectaudi-visual was achieved that gives the same energy as the music does: becoming monotone and pale when the music is low while it turns multi-coloral and flashier around loud music. This was the ideal product of the color theory which states that loud music love contrast, suddennes and hype while a low voice is needs more subtleness and unnotticablity
Conclusion
In the final composition, the integration of TouchDesigner and Resolume resulted in a cohesive visual flow, where every element of the visuals responded directly to the music's energy, creating a perfectly synchronized and immersive experience. The visuals adapted in real-time to the audio, enhancing the overall impact and delivering a seamless audiovisual presentation. However, connecting these two powerful tools comes with both advantages and challenges. On the one hand, the combination allows for highly customizable and dynamic visuals that react to sound with great precision. On the other hand, it can introduce latency or delay in triggering visuals, which may require additional tweaking to maintain smooth synchronization, especially in live environments.
